Polygon $MATIC delegation guide by MyCointainer (cold staking)

Stake MATIC by keeping your tokens in your wallet and earn rewards. No pre-requisites required to become a delegator on MATIC. All you have to do is have an Ethereum account.

This guide covers delegation guides using Metamask extension.

Step 1. Delegate to MyCointainer validator

You need to have funds on your main Ethereum Wallet. ETH for fees and MATIC for delagation of your tokens.

1. Visit https://wallet.matic.network/staking/validators

2. Click “Login”

3. Connect MATIC wallet to MetaMask (choosing MetaMask as wallet)

4. Search for “MyCointainer” in validator list and click “Delegate” as shown below.

5. Click “Delegate”, input the number of tokens to stake and click “Continue”.

6. Sign the transactions and your deposit is successful.

In dashbaoad users can view Balance, Total Stake, & Rewards (dashboard is visible under “My Account” button).

Step 2. Claiming Rewards as a Delegator

Click on rewards card to navigate to the rewards page.

You will see a list of validators, check MyCointainer that you have delegated, it has two buttons:

• Withdraw Reward
• Restake Rewards

Withdraw Reward

Clicking on Withdraw Rewards will ask you for a confirmation from your Wallet. Confirming the transaction will get your rewards back to your wallet. Enjoy the staking rewards from MATIC using MyCointainer validator.

Restake Rewards

Restaking your rewards is an easy way to increase your stake and earn more. Clicking on Restake Reward will ask you for confirmation from your Wallet (Metamask). Once you confirm the transaction, only then the restake transaction would be complete.

How to unstake all token

On the left hand menu of the staking dashboard, navigate the Unbond button for each of the validator. Click on that button for whomever the validator that you want to Unbond from.

Why delegate to the MyCointainer node?
